Electrical Cadet Sea Jobs

An Electrical Cadet is a trainee role within the engine department, designed for those specializing in marine electrical and electronic systems. Under the guidance of senior engineers and ETOs, Electrical Cadets assist with maintenance of generators, switchboards, automation systems, and communication equipment. This role provides hands-on training that complements academic studies in marine electrical engineering. The cadetship allows future ETOs to gain essential experience, develop troubleshooting skills, and understand the practical challenges of working at sea. Successful completion of this training leads to certification and progression to junior officer positions in the electrical discipline.
