Motorman (Oiler) Sea Jobs

The Motorman, also known as an Oiler, works within the engine department and is responsible for assisting engineers in maintaining and operating the ship’s propulsion and auxiliary systems. Key duties include lubricating machinery, monitoring gauges, recording readings, and reporting any abnormalities to engineers. Motormen also assist with repairs, cleaning, and routine engine room maintenance. This position requires technical awareness, physical stamina, and a good understanding of safety practices.
